Love is Like Soup: Ch3- Sin Pt6

Joe had been dying for Nick to wake up already. It was 2pm. Everyone, other than Nick and Denise, had been up for hours.

Paul asked Kevin and Joe if they wanted to take Frankie to the park. Joe didnt want to go of course. He wanted to wait till Nick woke up. Kevin didnt really want to either because he wanted to be there in case Paul decided to punish Nick a little more physically.

Nick's hatred of spankings was no secret in the house. Kevin just didnt think Joe would stand up for him enough if it came to that. Joe had already agreed with Paul about Nick needing help.

"How about we all go?" Nick suggested from the hallway as he walked up to join his family.

"Yeah, come on, Nick." Kevin ushered Nick out the door before Paul was able to say a word.

Joe took a moment before realizing that Nick and Kevin were already gone, before he took Frankie by the hand and led him out the door.

Outside, Kevin and Nick were waiting by the front door. "Thanks." Nick quietly whispered to Kevin. He was still wary of Kevin's reaction to his unusual relationship.

"Whatever." Kevin replied coldly.

This surprised Nick. Didn't Kevin just try to get him out of the house so he could be with Joe?

Joe and Frankie followed shortly. Frankie was one excited five year old to be going to the park with all three of his older brothers. He skipped happily to join the others.

"Come on Frankie, let's race to see who gets to the park first!" Kevin said to the little boy.

"Okay. I bet I can beat you too, Nick!" Frankie instigated.

"I'm sorry Frankie, but I'm still really tired. How about we race tomorrow?" Nick suggested. It was obvious that Kevin was trying to get Joe and him alone so they could talk.

Kevin and Frankie ran off. Nick looked at Joe with a smile as soon as they were alone. Joe let his head droop to the ground. "Nicky, we need to talk."

Nick's smile faded to a frown. He still wasn't completely sure how much Joe knew about what happened yesterday. "Okay."

"It was Gary, wasn't it?" Joe immediately started.

"Was what?" Nick played innocent again.

They had already made their way to the park. They continued on the path that led around the park and eventually into a forest. "Nicholas." Joe commanded. "How could you?" He said in a softer tone.

Nick couldn't find any words to say that would make this all better. He lowered his head. It wasn't that he was never planning to tell Joe about what happened, if he didn't already know, but he just didn't want it to be the day that he finally got back. He had, in truth, cheated on Joe twice while he was away; Gary and Stacy. None of them meant a thing to him. Everything that happened was more so in the heat of the moment type of thing. "Joey, you know I love you with all of my heart."

"Then why would you cheat on me?" Joe whispered. He was determined to keep himself from forming tears here.

"It just sort of happened. It didn't mean anything."

"There is no such thing as a kiss without meaning. You know that just as much as I do."

"What do you want me to say then?" Nick was clearly irritated.

Joe couldn't believe that Nick was irritated. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Joe was devastated that Nick cheated on him and Nick was irritated that Joe wanted to know why. "I want to know why you felt that there was someone out there that is better than me so much that you would hurt me to be with them. You, Nick, are my world. I could never have a reason to be in the heat of the moment with someone else. You did that to me." Joe ranted. He sighed before stating coldly, "Why don't we just break up so you can be with Gary?"

Ok so I need your help. I have a bit of writer's block so I want to know what you think should happen now that Nick cheated on Joe.
A. Joe should forgive him
B. Nick needs to prove he loves Joe (How?)
C. Gary can come back and Joe gets more jealous
D. Joick spanking
E. Other
