CBDA all state excerpt only
recorded this out of the blue a couple days ago after a parade band competition. I appreciate your CONSTRUCTIVE comments. I know I may be taking this too slow, but I prefer this tempo, I might take it up a click but I'm not sure yet. This is recorded with my new R13 and vandoren m30 mouthpiece (got it three months ago!), I hope its a big improvement from my recital in may, thank you! enjoy!

  • a few constructive comments..your notes get a little bright when you play higher.try focusing your air down more to create a rounder sound, a lot of the lower notes are speaking because youre so busy trying to go for those high notes.take your time.also, when you play your middle F (just the thumb) try using your bottom side key with it. it will make the f more in tune. also try using your side key with your Bb instead of your thumb.

you really are a good player. how old are you?

  • Hello!

Thank you very much for your comment, after this video I got the same advice from my previous instructor but its nice to get reminded :]. I wasn't too happy with this video I feel like it went by way too quickly...and I was tired when i did this! but i shouldn't excuse myself D:
