A selection of stills from the location of the Central Television series 'Crossroads, King's Oak' accompanied by the full version of the title music introduced in 1987. The new theme was written by Raf Ravenscoft and Max Early.

The location for the Motel/Hotel was the Ramada Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield.

The location used by the production team from 1970-88 was Tanworth in Arden, a small village located in the county of Warwickshire, England

  • Weird because I was never a big fan of Crossroads but I loved this tune. I gather same fella that played the sax on Baker St, so quite iconic!

  • Great video!

My brother had his reception at The Ramada, and I used to work not far from 'Kings oak' village. Both great for an avid Crossroads fan like me!

Always loved this theme, but think I prefer the TV version

  • This commercial version of the King's Oak theme was so much better than the TV version!
