Jared Stein interviews Jon Mott about BYU's loosely coupled gradebook system, which allows instructors to escape the learning management system and utilize open/web 2.0/cloud services for teaching and learning while maintaining the important student management feature found in most LMS.
Jon clearly articulates his argument and perspective on this project, while I (and my Bb mug) provide the sometimes absurd counterpoints.
