The mental health illness of Multiple Personality Disorder is a hardship for patients, a fascination to filmmakers, authors and the public and a controversy amongst therapists. Tracy Smith reports.
Because of a movie? what an idiot. You can tell this doctor is one of those who know nothing and studied 50 years ago and has many of his own issues which resolves with anger.
thats all funny. haarp. ducks. pills. 2012. retarded profets. pro-feds. so, me is the son. or sun. who cares. i saw the complexity ooo universe. really needs to be... fresh. more. no, i not what i should lucky world. funworld.. oregon.. more and less.. where ittsi... vansihed faces, full of... clear, clear and more clear
I was walking around with this for to long. Im lucky to be alive.
Call it what you want, It is real... The symptoms are real, that is what counts.. Call it what you want. The point is for the victim that an answer is found because of the relief of symptoms..
ITs the victim that knows.. Fuck the professionals. The victim know, they are looking for relief...
@transeme1 I'm literally in the *exact* same train as you. Same issue my entire life, just discovered it had a name about two years ago, and recently I've realized that when I'm affected by trauma and I acquire skills, it's distributed like a ration system. But I suppose I truly wasn't as genius as I thought I was in discovering this.
I'd love to meet that Dr. McCue and show him my journals. I only found out there was a name for my issues about two years ago. I started researching PTSD which matched many of my symptoms, then eventually realized there were some symptoms that went beyond the description of PTSD. I came up with what I thought was a novel theory... That the personality might fragment so that different parts held different memories, reactions, talents, etc. Turns out I was right, but it wasn't a new idea.
@mymelodythough be careful...I believe I have had one my whole life, a very controlling one. but why I say "be careful" is because, if you get your head too far into this. Therapists, even videos and Wikipedia can convince your brain that yolu are hearing voices and stuff. I had to straighten myself out back down to my only other "self". I only have two...since I was three. Myself, and what she calls herself is Shelby.

If a person with multiple personalities threatens to commit suicide, is it a hostage situation?
