Wayne Kramer redefined rock 'n roll guitar as a member of the extreme Detroit band, The MC5...David Was is one of the founding brothers behind Was (Not Was) and one of the greatest lyricists on Earth.

A decade ago, they recorded a classic album together - The Return of Citizen Wayne. Everyone should own a copy...Here's a brand new, exclusive version of a song from that CD, "Revolution in Apt. 29"

  • I was too young for MC5, but lucky enough to see Wayne Kramer live twice in Arizona in the late '90s.

  • the republic was created to deal with bad unions of infiltraDers....gOOd jOb!!!!

  • probly one of the coolest guitar players that most ppl have never heard of,they need to know the name, kick out the jams muthafuckers!!!

  • @Pinho6strings Gee, didn't realize my comment 11 months ago would still be reverberating! Neil Young & Wayne Kramer were contemporaries really, & crossed paths. Wayne recalled when MC5 played a concert for the Democratic Convention protesters, & Neil Young was the only other musician that showed up for the cause, out of several bands & musicians that had been booked. Neil's later "Grunge" stuff could be compared to some of MC5's thrashings really.... It's all good!

  • Why is an insult compares with Neil? Neil is a genius. He influenced the world music much more than Krame or others. Kramer would be glad for comparison.

  • what time is the meeting Tuesday? Count me in! See you then. love, Scheebo

  • El solo de esta rola en especial esta versión es uno de mis favoritos tiene un buen estilo

  • DL the audio from this song at tubepull doht cohm.

  • @gujjien Don't know if it's real influence from Neil, but I hear it too. I agree with you.

  • @gujjien don't equate a the junkie rhythm of neil young for Brother Waynes soulful grooves.
