  • Do you have any advice for someone who wants to teach English in Japan (I'm guessing thats what JET is) in the future?

  • @GracefullyPantsless my friend said having an international experience will help you to get into JET.

  • would u say the same for Majoring in Korean?

  • @dylanluver93 I feel Korean case is worse than Japanese since they have more English speaker than Japanese, and they they have less population than japan.

  • You make some valid points in your video, but I think it is a bit long XD.

I don't like the negativity in this video; yes it is funny, but too negative at the same time. The JET program does hire some people it is just very selective now, in fact, I know someone who just got in this year (she doesn't have blue eyes and blonde hair either). I don't think you should give your viewers no hope at all D: I think the negativity should be toned down a bit, but maybe I am being to idealistic...

  • @GlassHalfFull I agree! It's better to be encouraging than discouraging, especially for someone who might really want to major in Japanese! If anyone does, then just GO FOR IT! =] Follow your heart and believe in yourself, even if the classes are difficult. Fighting! ^^

  • hehe im minoring in japanese ;3

  • i was planning on majoring in medical science and minor in japanese. what are my chances of going to japan?

  • Is this for real? I am pretty sure that there are many translation jobs out there, and the government employs people who can translate? I'm not raging I'm just asking.

  • im 13 and im teaching myself japanese, and yes I want to move to japan and teach english and what we are learning in school is that if you really want to do something and you work hard on it everyday then it just might happen, so i dont see why your are putting people down by saying that what they want to do wont happen, i dont see why you think that you can just go out on the internet and tell everybody that, and im going to be honest, your video made me pretty angry.

  • Something you need to point out, is that there's nothing wrong with a Japanese major, assuming you want to live in Japan, if not, stick to the Japanese minor. Having a Japanese major is fine, but what you need to point out is, that you will need to consider a minor. Having some other skill (even a minor skill) other than just speaking the language. Second, the job you obtain outside of college is based on the effort you put in into find a job/gaining experience, nothing to do with your major.

  • I want to apply to JET so I am learning Japanese on my own. I am majoring in computer electronics engineering, and will apply as soon as I have a degree

  • a asian and a woman driving a car

    im surprised they didnt crash

  • That's why you double major. Majoring in any language (including English) is pretty much useless solo.

  • Awesome video guys! I am so glad I stumbled on this channel ^-^
