Haibarben freshwater tank 1400 l (391 gallons)

Mein Haibarbenbecken am 27.10.2008.
Maße des Beckens: 250 cm lang, 70 cm hoch, 80 cm tief = 14oo Liter Volumen
Well, here are Details of my tank:

L: 250cm, H: 70cm, W: 80cm.
Light: 4 x JBL Tropic Solar 36W, 4 x Daylight 36W.
Light used 13 hours per day.
Capacity CO2: 10kg; enough for about 4 months.
CO2 supply on 1 hour after light on to 2 hours befor light off.
Filter: Eheim 2260, 2000 liters per hour.
Water changing 200 liters every week.
Plant fertilizer: JBL Ferropol, 150ml every week,
special tabs under the roots of the Echinodorus.
Ground: 300kg river gravel 3-8mm,
Some river stones with caves, 2 roots.

Plants: Echinodorus bleherii, E. osiris, some other Echinodorus, cryptocoryne balansae, C. undulata, C. aponogetifolia, C. wendtii, some other Cryptocoryne, microsorum pteropus, some Anubia.

endlich mal einer der weiß wie man haibarben hält immer diese ganzen menschen die einfach nicht wissen wie sich die fische am wohlsten fühlen als gruppe und in einen mindestens 1000l aquarium

ich würde zwar auch gerne welche haben aber bald kriege ich ein 650l aquarium und das ist für 5 tiere immernoch zu klein

@OobobmarleyoO Sie sind jetzt etwa sechs Jahre alt. Von ihrer angedichteten Schreckhaftigkeit ist überhaupt nichts zu bemerken. Also fühlen sie sich bestimmt wohl. Sehr wichtig ist auch die dichte Bepflanzung, damit sie Rückzugsmöglichkeiten haben.

650 l sind wirklich zu wenig für sie.

Amazing tank! Love it. How do you keep your plants alive? I'm having so much trouble :( My tank is a 120 gallon with an Eheim 2260 and an Eheim 2217 (I alternate cleanings). For lighting I'm using 4x 26W CF bulbs which are about 8" above the water in pendant shaped housings. Plants are mostly amazon swords. They just keep turning yellow and dying. I picked up Flurish liquid fert which *maybe* helped a little but now I'm getting algae. Sigh.... Do I need CO2?

You can reed it at the informations about the tank.

CO2 is important for the plants and is against algae. But You must control the concentration. Too much CO2 is dangerous for the fish, because if You have too much CO2, You will have too less O2 and the fish will die.

Hey dude, a lovely tank you have there. I am currently getting a 1500 litre acrylic tank made 96"x36"x28"h. I also keep planted tanks the current one i have is 860litres you can see on my video. I love Silver Sharks and you have a good sized tank. How big are your sharks in the video? I currently keep rainbows and Denisonii barbs, I reckon denisonii barbs would look great with these guys. Nice one! :)

Das Aquarium ist einfach nur Wahnsinn. Ich habe wirklich schon sehr viele tolle Becken gesehen, aber eines in dieser Grösse, mit einer solch tollen Bepflanzung und so schönen Tieren - sowas sieht man nur ganz selten. Ganz grosses Kompliment!
