By now, you've probably heard that Asteroids is being adapted into a feature-length motion picture. What you may be surprised to find out is that the teaser trailer for the movie has leaked out of this week's San Diego Comic Con. If an astroid the size of texas ever comes our way, we are more screwed than you can imagine. The one that killed the dinos way back when was only the size of mount everest, and scientists don't think we could stop that! If it was a small astroid the size of say, Apophis, then sure, we can destroy it just fine. But an astroid the size of texas, and it's probably more practical to evacuate the planet than to remove the astroid.
