  • @NoWarCrimes Some random german lady

  • hihi ! voice-timbre-sarcasm-booster-version ! =))

  • The sexual tension is in the playing of the piano; nothing to do w/Newman's lack of singing voice. The piano "sings" this song. I KNOW WHAT LOVE IS.

  • What can be better..what can be more inspiring, what can be better than some one who can write lyrics like this. I can almost forgive him for working with Disney. Don't get too spry, Randy. I love you but you're no Sondhiem

  • The 1st time I tried to post this the YouTube system called it "spam." I couldn't believe it. Here's my censored version, let's see if that works:

That was a great performance of a great song. Randy Newman is telling us that sometimes the best way to relate to a woman is to order her around a little bit and then express your tremendous appreciation for her. By the way, who was that hot, somewhat older woman who was singing along toward the end of it?

  • You guys have no style- Randy is the shit.

  • @lesterclaypool1 My bad. Thought you were defending Tom Jones, in response to the original post by sleepyjoness. Wasn't paying attention. Glad to see we're all on the same page.

  • @adumbberg

your comment has no relevence to what my comment was replying to: the original poster said "HOT! everybody LOVES Randy!!!!!" The tepid amount of views to this video in comparison to the more well known covers, not to mention the less than impressive comments would imply otherwise.

  • @lesterclaypool1 Number of views = better? Or does number of views = more popular with huge numbers of average people because it's more accessible, in large part due to it's use in a major motion picture, and also due to it's polished, sanitized rendition. This song (the original) has weight to it. It's funny, but it's not "fun". There is very dark humor there. Tom Jones is funny, but his version ain't dark. Neither is Joe Cocker's. Surprising comment from a Claypool fan

  • The Joe´s Cocker Version is the best.
