  • @DownNotOut1 what does that have to do with Bavaria

  • By the way NRW has Germanys biggest economy with 21,7% of whole Germany

and Hamburg the highest gdp per capital

  • @videouzleg Take a look: I know my great grandfather`s family is from Bavaria. (I=Ich, know=weiß, my=mein, great grandfather= Urgroßvater, family=Familie, is=ist, from=von/aus, Bavaria=Bayern) Ich weiß, dass die Familie meines Urgroßvaters aus Bayern stammte. you see some differences: 1. the comma 2. more words: dass=that, stammte=came 3. verb is in the end 4. Upper and Lower case is different you can see its very different isn´t it? and that was a simple sentence!

  • Probably because so many German-American immigrants come from Bavaria or near Bavaria. I know my great grandfather`s family is from Bavaria.

  • some english slang words are really invented.

    like of course "cool".

my friends and i use the word "fooden" from food. it means "eat something"

  • BTW what percentage of german vocabulary is same as english vocabulary someone told me 20%, but if I could hear it from a local man would be great?

But I guess german grammar is much different english?
