Rosie O'Donnell (An amazing interview)

1-17-12 - I'm not a fan of Rosie, whom I normally find loud, obnoxious and domineering, but this interview is making me reconsider. And I know that a lot of people hate Piers Morgan but this is one of the best interviews I've ever seen -- by anyone (and I watch A LOT of news and interviews). Although the two have never met (as far as I know), this seemed like a conversation among two friends. Piers was neither intrusive nor exploitative, and Rosie's homosexuality and home life were treated no differently than any guest's heterosexuality. I especially like the fact that Piers didn't shy away from an awkward issue: He is a friend of Donald Trump but Rosie had a well-known feud with Trump. The topic was handled well by both. My only wish was that they also discuss her feuds with Barbara Walters and Kelly Rippa.

What a great interview - I wasn't expecting Rosie to be like that but she comes across as very genuine. The strories of her childhood were both heart-breaking and incredibly sweet.
