sikhs celebrated "bandi chhor divas" which means "the realeasing of the prisoners." the 6th Sikh guru, Guru HarGobind ji was imprisoned by the mughal emperor and then later released, but he would not leave if the emperor did not released the 52 other Hindu Kings/Princes. The Emperor gave guru hargobind challenge saying that whoever hold onto your robe can also be released. guru horgobind outsmarted the emperor and tied his robe so that all 52 kings can also be released.
