This appeared on a compilation LP sold in aid of Save The Children in late 60s which is where I first heard it. Don't know if featured on any other LP.
@flammasherman Glad other people can remember those times, just before the 60s became famous as it were. This is really an innovative sound. I wish you well-being.
Thanks for posting this, I was beginning to think I'd imagined it's existence !.Follow up to Sun Arise ( which I bought with a Christmas record token in 1962 ), it never did anything, but I think was heard mostly on Radio Luxembourg.
Can't thank you enough, flatop47! I've been trying to get to hear this song for years. While I only have a passing interest in Rolf Harris, his painting and humorous songs, I went straight out to buy this single back in the 1960s and somehow, the disc wandered out of my hands never to be regained. Of course, the song, beautifully written and produced, crisp and full of passion, was seemingly too good to get anywhere near the pop charts of the time. Thanks again for putting the song up!
