This film is called Labour of love because it features the music from UB40's hit album of that name.
It's a love story set in inner city Birmingham, a wasteland of Thatcher's Britain. A story of frustration and aimlessness, set to great music. There's no "message", no blueprint, no suggestions - just a picture of how things can be.
The film was directed by Bernard Rose and produced by Brian Travers. 1984.

watching these now bring back good memories even tho im only 35, i remember watching the vhs with the fat family in it eating all the time, i watched the last show in london less than a year ago ali wernt in it and it was,nt the same but good tho miss these guys.... memories.
