It's not a Judd, it's the original DTM race engine - a 2,5 litre inline 4!
That's why it has this glorious intake sound
The car has only recently been fitted with a Judd V8, but this video is from 2004 - so definately 2,5 inline 4

@WarheartHC Which sounds completely different to this one... A V8 with a flat crank is pretty close to the sound of an I-4 but theres a distinct difference... All V8's have this throaty bite to them and this one doesnt.

No lol, the dtm version uses the same 2.5 Cosworth engine, butt tuned to about 400hp

@WarheartHC This is not Reto Meisel's Judd Mercedes. This one is a 1993 DTM car with the original DTM engine, which in fact is a high-rev 2.5 liter inline-4.

Yea is a 2.5 16v R4 Cosworth evo2 235 hp in stock engine, this is tuned.. Dtm version is v8.

If you look under the hood of this car, you won't find the stock 2.5 16, I'm pretty certain of that.
It's definitely a V8.

This is getting tiring now...
Of course you won't find the stock engine under the hood. The 2.5L inline-4 has been heavily modified for racing and produces more than 375 bhp @9500rpm in DTM spec.
I don't get how people think this has a V8. It doesn't even sound like one. Look up other 190 EVO DTM vids and then look up Judd V8 vids. They sound completely different. So one more time: This is NOT a V8, it's an inline-4.

Exactly the same car/driver and exactly the same typical 4 cylinder induction sound from those throttle bodies.

Infact man i have to confirm this is a V8
there is a Company called Judd that makes Hillclimb engines
they mounted that in to the car and raced it ( youtube for Reto Meisel and you see another JuddV8 190E )
