"I'm entitled to that"! That's a phrase we so often hear from our children, but as our society changes, we increasingly hear that from adults. This attitude of entitlement is dangerous for the person, as an individual, and also for our society. In order to build a sound Emotional Path, we must re-think the entitlement mentality.
Why is an entitlement mentality bad, I will give you 17 trillion reasons! That is how much our government is in debt. This is killing our economy and is destroying our freedoms. What are these people going to do when the "free ride" is finally gone. They will steal form those who produce and will likely get shot or end up in prison where they will have to work and work for free.

Hi Marilyn19481. No I do not believe it is an "entitlement" to expect a pension where someone paid into a plan for 30 years and upon retirement expects to be repaid with growth. This is simply a method used to accumulate "wealth" (i.e. reserved capital for later use). "Entitlement" would be more appropriately used where a person has not put that money into the plan, but believes that simply by virtue of their employment, they're "entitled" to the same benefit as the person who has paid in.

I agree with you 100% on what you're saying, todays society feel they don't have to work for the things they need. That everything should be giving to them on a silver platter and want people and the government to take care of their needs.
