Look. I'm not a biblical scholar in the traditional sense, but I have been reading and researching it (The Bible) thoroughly throughout my close to 20 years as a Christian, and from what I've been able to gather from the Word, we should look at the fruit to know what the tree is like. Is that correct? If it is, we should perhaps look at the people who choose to follow Christ as a result of a concert with NLM/Pierce. What I personally think of NLM/Pierce is of no consequence, is it?
I just got onto this post and am curious, but what do you figure makes people unable to distinguish message from method? I'm sort of reviewing the whole process having been to several NLM sets myself. by the way, i figure that if David's serious about God, he'll be cool with whatever you think.
secondly, if you call his ministry "unbiblical," then you should post some scriptures to back yourself up. otherwise, you are doing nothing but causing division in the church. you aren't even teaching or helping anyone learn how to do anything "biblically." you just tell people david is wrong. if he is, teach us how. otherwise, shut up and go after God yourself, and let God deal with david.
wow. are you kidding me? his book is his testimony! of course he is going to talk about himself! go read the new testament. paul talks about himself and his struggles and the things that God teaches him, too.
i have read it, yes. i know pierce personally. get out his book. count the number of times you see the word "I." then count the number of times you see the word "God." it may seem i have a personal vendetta against him. i don't. but it's true i disagree with his approach. in my opinion it's too much to expect that most of the people he's trying to reach are going to be able to separate the message from the method of delivery. those are my thoughts. have a nice day!
i pray that if you are right about him, that the truth would be known. but i also pray that if you are not acting under the impression of the Holy Spirit with your accusations, that you would be reconciled to God yourself.
have you read his book? or his bible studies? if you haven't, then you have no idea what he has been through for God, and you stand and throw accusations.
lastly, it is absolutely natural for the "mouthpiece" of a band (the lead singer) to play the most critical part in the drama. learn something about music and bands before you accuse.
