After the big Newfoundland National Specialty Show in Monterey, we took our dog with some of the other Newfie owners to Carmel Beach. This was some of the fun that happened.

  • totally awesome!!! My dream is to own a Newf. But I have to move first. Now that it's just me and the hubby, I could devote lots of time to its care. They are worth it!

  • We hug an kiss Drake every day, he is such a good dog, as almost every Newf is. They are the sweetest, smartest and most gentle dogs you will ever meet. Hope you get one!

  • love to read such comments because im getting one tomorrow... cant wait :))))

  • Good luck! They are, BAR NONE, the best dogs in the World. Nobody can resist them, it's like having a celebrity on a leash.

  • Haha, how many newfs were there?

  • I think there were 7 or 8. We were down in Monterey for the 2005 National Specialty, I had done the artwork for it, so there were a lot of Newfs everywhere!

  • look at the kids run away from the Newfies. Afraid they get loved to death.

  • @Werlord10 Just wondering how your newfie pup is doing. Living up to your expectations? I have a male newfie that's 7 months old. His name is Moochy and he's everything and more that I could have hoped for. EXCEPT, he's a puppy locked inside of a mooses body. LOL Graceful he is not. You can see his puppy mind working in one direction but trying to organize those huge feet and legs to follow suit is a whole other project. By the time he's finally on his feet, he's forgotten what he wanted to do!

  • Cause "aeropostalbaby" knows best

  • they love the water so much. it's in their evolutionary nature because newfoundland is right on the shoreline. or i guess if you dont believe in evolution you can say some shit about god working in mysterious ways :/

  • I loved it when all the kids were running away from the newfs, hehehe.

  • that's not dogs!! Those are small black holes that entered the atmosphere

  • omg im getting a pup in 8 weeks cant w8

  • true, newfies are the best!!!....had my own first newf and had to put him down 3 years ago...toddlers could sit UNDER him for an hour and pull his chest hair and he wouldn't get upset.....And i got him from a shelter - if you are looking for a newf, please check out all the newf rescue groups! unfortunately there are lots that need rescuing (they get too big, or owners can't afford to feed them, or b/c they're big think they should be used as guard dogs - not!

  • Nothing like the Newfoundland. We are owned by Tsunami and Typhoon, 2 amazing newfie boys 2 and 1. They would have been in heaven on that beach. Great vid! Cheers

  • Shh... everyone... look... it's a wild herd... no, no, don't try and pet them, just watch...
