Read your old testament God is going to restore Israel as a nation in the end times. To me Chapter 12 is about the Jew not 17. Jerusalem does not sit on 7 hills. Rome does. Jerusalem does not have world wide influence Rome does. Jerusalem does not pursuit the saints Rome did. The Jews do not practice Idolatry Rome does. The Jews do not dress themselves in Scarlet Rome does. The Jews never ruled over the kings of the earth Rome did. The Jews do not have a cup of Idolatry but Rome does.

Again he is telling us that in the case of the women the seven head are seven hills but in the case of the beast they are seven kings. You can put the beast and the women together since the beast destroy the woman. The women is a city vs 17 that sits on seven mountains. Rome sat on 7 hills literally and figuratively. it as a city ruled the 7 head of the beast. but will now be destroyed by the beast.
