@NewEnglandAquarium The entire family that oscars belong to (Cichlidae) are considered highly trainable, I think. Or at least, the cichlids I work with in lab seem to have picked up a few behaviors, haha.
Any reason why lumpfish seem to be more trainable, evolutionarily?
This is SO neat, please keep doing more with this! I love that people can see that fish can be intelligent as well.

This is amazing. I stumbled across this fish a few days ago on the internet and was simply fascinated with their "ventral sucker disks." Now...they can be trained?? They are incredible! This is a REALLY neat thing you're doing. :)

@REALCougarsRmales Thanks for the question! Oscar fish and lumpfish are thought to be the most trainable fish.
