  • Amazing how the sound of the engine exhaust almost entirely disappears and is replaced by the sound of the wind when the car gets up to speed.

I wish the video showed a picture of the whole car. I believe it was a 'lakester', meaning a streamlined, but open-wheeled car.

  • Can't watch this without smiling. Pushing the cars keeps the starting line from getting torn up from rookies overthrottling and using the tires spinning on the salt to modulate their acceleration as well. I gotta get me one of those little cameras and put it on our car!

  • Holy Shit That Fast!

  • No, the reason is because of the cars at bville have such high gearing. If they don't get a push the engine will bog and or the clutch will slip and take off too slow.

  • the reason for this is because if they don't then the car will just spin it's tirs and have a harder time off the line

  • Why is it that they have to push every car with a pickup at the starting line at Bonneville? I see that in almost every video took at Bonneville...

    Great ride though!

    Thanks!
