This song is from their debut album which featured Last Chance. This video has a typical 80's video look, but it's a good song.

  • Always liked those 2 songs. Tonight & You've got what I need. Thanks for posting them. I got a mint copy of their first lp but not too familar with the group overall. Where were they from ?? Did they make it big ?? Thanks !

  • They are from Kansas City. They had several hits, but they never were able to make it huge. They are still together and released an album in 2006. Word is they plan to tour this year.

  • I don't know why I can't find their best song anywhere, I'm A Rebel. Anybody know?

  • There's a song called Rebel With a Cause on It's Not Over. Is that it?

  • There was a show that used to come on right before MTV first began called "Video Concert Hall". That was when I first heard of this band and saw the videos "You Got What I Need", and "Tonight". "Video Concert Hall", lasted from 1979-1980 and had several other great acts as well. I have ALL of the original Shooting Star albums from 1980-1985. One of the greatest rock bands of all time in my opinion!

  • One of the most underated bands of the '80s

  • A very very under rated group my childhood favorite band thanks for posting the videos..

  • Sweet Firebird there Van!

  • I got a chance to see SS at the Rib Fest in Indy, they nailed every song!

  • @purplepoodle55 Yeah the band really got around back in the early/mid 80's, I had a friend from Ohio, who was here in KC to go to chiropractic college, and he used to play guitar some with my brother and me in our band, and he said that SS was huge there, which we did not know at that time. I know Head East was big in the St. Louis area back then, another way underated band, we wore out that live record here, summer 78, remember the one that was orange and shaped like a highway road sign?

  • @earthcity1 HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE THEM IN THE LATE 70'S AT SUPER JAM IN ST.LOUIS @ BUSCH STADIUM WHAT A GREAT SHOW!!!!

  • I saw them two years ago at a Ribfest concert in Des Moines. I had last seen them in 1980. Damn, I'm getting old...

  • This was & still is my fav band!
