Say that you're looking for a book found in the catalog -- how do you actually find it on the shelf?

First you need to write down its location and call number. Now say you're looking for a book whose location is "Stacks" and whose call number is QA... blah blah blah.

First, confirm that it's not currently checked out. What you need to do now is head on over to the library's website at www.lehman.edu/library and click on "Help" from the menu on the left. Then choose "Stack Directory" from the help submenu.

This is a directory of all of the book locations in the library. The call letter locations are listed at the top and they are organized alphabetically. The call number we have begins with QA, so we'll be looking for it on the third floor south.

All shelves are labeled so you'll find the book in no time!
