DTU wind turbine racer WORLD record 74.5 %

During the race time trials august 18th 2011, DTU wind turbine racer made a record run at about 9 m/s wind speed against the wind of 74.5 % of the wind speed.

That is correct. The purpose of this video is purely to present the conditions of that day and the car running on the track. In order to catch the car from more angles, I have used several video shots from different car runs in an interval of approximately one hour in that afternoon.

Just as additional information it should be mentioned that I think this footage was not of the actual record run (Andrei?), but cut togeteher just of some runs the same day.

The mean wind peaked just above 9 m/s during the time of the run. At that time I couldn't keep up wit the car on bike. The mean speed of the car during the record run was approx 25 km/h, which given my cycling abilities & shape, the bike i rode and the strong headwind was too hard to keep up with.

Ohh yeah. By the way, in the record run it was not possible to follow on bike... Well at least without EPO
