  • The best thing about this car is that it could almost go anywhere. Beyond that, it was butt-ugly and ungainly. The ride was not comfortable and it was slow. It was nevertheless an excellent vehicle for underdeveloped countries that had bad roads or with awful tarmacs. The engine was very reliable and easy to work with - it was like the VW Beetle, a car that could last forever (almost). You know, if it weren't for namby-pamby "safety" rules from the State, we could still enjoy these fun cars!

  • its sound like an old washing machine

  • callen a ese pinche perro!!

  • this is not a R4 GTL, it's a R4 TL.

  • sound great

  • @aladdindzanic well remember this car was engineered in the 60's, that's make a lot of difference with the cars we are used to see now. At the same time, VW was producing the beetle which was just as slow and unconfortable.

The main argument of this car was his price and the fact that it could go anywhere, mud snow, wet grass... nothing could stop a R4... and perhaps the engine was much more reliable and simple to fix than any modern car.

  • is the shift pattern the same on this car as others?

I know sometimes euro made cars have odd shift patterns

    I am used to

    1 3 5

    2 4 R
