There's been a lot of chatter lately about the lack of Blacks in Technology lately. Most notable discussion developed around the launch of the NewMe Accelerator, a technology start-up accelerator/incubator for businesses that are led by under-represented minorities in the technology industry. Secondly, CNN Black in America 4, which aired on November 13th, documented the NewMe Accelerator program and brought light to the lack of Black-founded technology startups. One of the most respected technology journalists and entrepreneurs, Wayne Sutton, is here to share his journey to becoming a highly respected techology voice and his thoughts on Blacks in technology.
In this conversation, Wayne and I chat about:
•How Wayne got interested in technology
•How Technology connected Wayne and Angela Benton, NewMe Accelerator Founder
•How his blog has led to several notable opportunities (and tips for you and your blog)
•Lessons learned from the first round of the NewMe Accelerator
•His upcoming book
•and tons more!
