Oh I see, cool. I've never seen him actually playing one, though. He has a couple of Jaguars that he plays. Was the one you're talking about the series he did with Fender? There's like 6 interview segments that Fender did with him about amps and guitars. There's another one back stage at a Modest Mouse show. By far my personal favorite guitarist (I hate Modest Mouse, but I listen to that record he did with them just for his guitar playing). He is INSANELY underrated.

@nick4man3 Well, I saw an interview with Marr someone posted to YT a while back where he talks specifically about liking both the Jazzmaster & Jaguar.

I think you're confused, Johnny Marr has been playing a Jaguar almost exclusively for a while now. Both are amazing guitars, I own one of each.

Thurston first got to love Fender Jazzmasters from hearing&watching Tom Verlaine of Television play one.Thurston was a big Tom fan.The two are pals today&hang out&jam together.He must love the distinctive Jazzmaster sound too(as I do),& not just that it has a long neck.Jazzmasters were obscure,unloved guitars you could buy cheaply 2nd hand,early '70s,which was why Tom originally bought one.Economics!But Tom,then Thurston, made them semi-famous.Johnny Marr likes Jazzmasters nowadays too.
