  • yeah i go spear fishing often with my girlfriend. one time a shark grabbed my 700 dollar spear off the coast of california, of course i had to jump back in and get it even though my girlfriend didnt want me to. but she cheered me on from the boat while i fought the shark and got my spear back

  • @gazmage7 not only that you have to use a Bohemian Sling in place of a speargun... makes it a lot more fun.

  • Hey - this is an amazing video! Loved the part at the end showing the fish so much, I had to include it on my facebook collection of the best Bahamas fishing videos: facebook [dot] com /pages/Xtreme-Bahamas-Fishing/276144875779766

Hope you get some more views through it - it's one of the better underwater ones I've seen!

  • @KylerTheCreator Well it's kinda cheating if you have a tank.... It defeats the purpose... If ya wanna tank... Just go to the super market

  • no oxygen tank or what?

  • @badmandede i was moving my hips to the water music

  • Hawaii Sling, you can find them at almost any fishing shop in the bahamas because the gun is illegal

  • @rb35 what kind of sling is that ?? is that homw made or we can get it from market ?

  • @rdrums89 they werent big ass pieces of meat, it was little bits still stuck on the spear, even a tiny drop of blood can attract a shark. but im pretty sure the dead fish i was carrying was what attracted the shark. he could have bit my spear gun by mistake and held on to it either because it hooked onto him, or because he tasted the little pieces of fish on it. my theory is the second one because when i got it back it easily came out of the sharks mouth, so i dont think it was hooked.

  • @ihmen piece of meat and guts on it? you using a flopper tip? even though they sometimes take time to take out i havent had meat and guts stuck on my spear so bad i couldent just take it off. were you trying to get the shark to bite the gun? just curious.

  • @rdrums89 there were fish guts and pieces of fish meat on the spear head, i had caught 3 fish before the shark attacked. its a big problem with spear fishing because all the fish blood in the water can attract sharks that are miles away. thats why i have my gf keep a look out.

  • @ihmen why would a shark keep your spear in its mouth after he realized it wasnt meat? i bet you just jumped back in and saw it laying there after a shark punked you.
