Uottawa was not my first choice, seeing as I want to get into fisheries management. Guelph is one of the best natural resources universities in Canada. But I have a daughter, so I must stay close to my home which is Ottawa!
uOttawa is actually pretty good, and I try to stay out of the politics. My clubbing days are over, but if you are into that sort of thing than the market is litterally a stones throw away. Personally, I find that the best thing about Ottawa is the fishing!!
@MedoKojiZiviOvde While not disagreeing with you, unfortunately most 'communist' countries falsely claim they are communist, and in essence, they are using communism as a mask to hide under real dictatorship like fascist ruling.
To defend your point, you made false accusations about me and my country. Thank you for your arrogance, I do not believe in social conservatism and it is not popular in my country. 60% of Canadians are left Wing and a majority of the conservative vote comes from the want of a strong economy, not traditional values. You take your generalizations too far my friend. You can continue to believe I am uninformed, but it comes across as arrogant and doesn't really refute arguments. Research ethics.
@HipHop104AM if you're so optimistic so you agree with the ideology of the Conservatives: less rights for women, more green-house emissions, easier access to weapons... because the majority of the Canadians chose them thank to the " democracy". Of course I do generalization because I'm not talking about single individuals, I'm talking about societies(especially N-American and Great Britain). If you don't know what i'm talking about, do some research in sociology books.
How are you still defending prejudice? I talk about myself because you made a generalization about the society that i belong to. I guess I'm more optimistic about my culture. Your life experience constitutes a valued opinion, more valued than my own, but it does not invalidate my entire generations. I believe that the American rejection of the communist revolution was a global catastrophe created by similar prejudice to what you have against my culture. Neither are justified.
@HipHop104AM sorry but Anglo-saxons are known to be cold and individualist. There might be people that are not but I saw and I experienced many cultures. I know it from my personal experience and many people who've around the world would say the same. btw I was talking to someone who was badmouthing Communism so I dont why do you talk about yourself??
and please don't say that I'm naive. I was on 3 continents, I spoke 5-6 languages and I fled a genocide. I think I know the human nature well.
@MedoKojiZiviOvde your just prejudiced and view North-American's stereotypically, who are you to tell me what my vision of life is. You don't know who or what I've studied, or what I'm capable of understanding. If you honestly think that the entirety of our culture supports completely individualist thinking then you are ridiculously naive.
@justanoldman1 I was born in a communist country and I was raised in a communist country. I think I know better what is communism than any Canadian. This country will never see what is socialism or communism. North-American vision of life is too individualist and Protestantism-oriented.
