Just a quick close up around the Sennheiser EW100 WIreless Mic Kit for my Panasonic HS700 with my Kodak Zi8 recording at 1080i.
Notice the focusing challenge with Kodak within 3 feet of a subject.

  • Hi, apologies for the very late reply.

Your best bet for an external lavalier (clip-on) mic wired is something like a Yoga mic or ATR3550 (£20/$300

For wireless something like a Sennheiser EW-100 G3 wireless mic kit. (£450/$600)

Both miss fit fine without additional adapter and no external power adapter are required.

  • I have a question, Why just plug the wire from the receiver into the camcorder? Or why use the beachtek?

  • Hello, so I've just started and I'm pretty much an amateur at this, but I have an HS700 (I know, i'm old school) and have intentions of recording audio from a speaker without ambient noise. Right now, I just have my camera, and the on-cam audio is pretty bad.

I was wondering if you could give me a rundown of all the equipment in this video, the lavelier mic, required adapters, jacks and external power if necessary? Thanks
