@leopardgeckocrazy Most of us including myself would absolutly love to think that.  However, there is also the slim chance fictionally speaking, that the Doctor liked her around to fill in the gap that he lost when Susan left. But hey I always liked to think that the Doctor had it in for her.

It is funny that the modern episode "The doctors wife" explain is so perfectly why the Tardis always popped up at random places.

Tom Baker broke the fourth wall in a way that none of the other Doctors would be able to get away with. One of the reasons why he was my favourite.
