FTL-Jump Effect

Some cool effect I came up with today while working. Its somewhat like a combo of BSG and another idea that I can't seem to remember. It looks rather awesome on Battlestar Pegasus.

My next few videos are to be tests for Red Squad as well as messing with this effect.

@NeoverseCreator Thanks! You can get 3DS Max online, but its about $3500 (I'd search for an older version, like Max 9, which is about a few years old). The plugin, Final Flares, is about $500 if I remember correctly (again, I'd recommend a cheaper version of this). However, there are other free programs, like Truespace and Blender, that can be used to recreate a similar effect, though I've not toyed with either of those too much to know how to do so.

Very cool. Reminds me of the jump effect from Nexus the Jupiter Incident.
