I want to cause a beautiful commotion...

This is a rehearsal from the first piece I have ever created. It was for Dancers At Work, a student choreography performance at my college. The performance of this piece was in the round, which provided audience members with a 360 degree experience. I do not have the footage from the final product of the piece with costume, lighting, the changes we made from this rehearsal, or the audience also being a part of the experience. (yet) It was a challenging experiment to try to create something that would be interesting from all perspectives. I had an amazing experience working with all of my creative and brilliant dancers. :)

Choreography: Sean Gannon
Music: You Don't Know Me by Apparat
Music Edits: Meghan Rose Murphy

  • @chandra00michelle Thank you so much. :) I really wanted to challenge myself and create something that would be interesting from wherever you viewed it. I wish I had footage of them in their costumes and with the lighting and with the crowd surrounding them. It was a beautiful commotion :)

  • I am so impressed! I wish I could be in your piece!

  • @sytycimprov Thank you so much. I hope maybe one day I will choreograph again for something. And then that would be possible! :)

  • @anm92cool THANK YOU. That means a lot to me. I really hope to be teaching and just moving with different groups of people all the time. That'd be really fun :) And I watched your videos, you have a brilliant way of moving. Keep it up!
