Butterfly Kick Tutorial II

Hey all, on request, this is just a simple "how to" video for the butter fly kick, or Xuan Zi.

Its focus is on the basic mechanics, how to improve them, and just hopefully provide enough info for you to try them with confidence.

Apologies for the scruffiness. Still recovering from a meniscus tear, and damaged nerves in my trapezius.

This is an EXCELLENT tutorial and you're one of the only ones on Youtube to actually get the hand positioning right. This kick was originally devised in the Shaolin temples and used to kick men of their horses. It has no purpose today apart from looking flashy. It can be used to kick someone, though there are more effective and powerful ways to do this!
