2:24 - HYAH...OH NO! - The funniest thing to ever come out of Ryu's mouth in this entire video.

lol aren't you that guy who played in Salute Your Shorts on Nickelodeon (as per your pic) Budnik, or whatever his name was???.......anyway...don't hate on the original SF...the whole point of the game IS to randomly pull off one of the special moves or spend the rounds trying to do as many as you can...the arcade version is better because the joystick makes it easier to pull off random crap...so just practice, as is required to master any SF game..." I wish you good luck!" ^_^

I remember when the game FIRST came out. Unlike the sequels, which had 6 buttons, the first one had TWO buttons (kick & punch) the harder you hit the buttons, the stronger you strikes were. I saw one guy wind up and POUND the punch button three times in a few seconds; the round was OVER.

Meh..U snoob .. that first strret fighter actually took skill..i used to beat all the guys and sagat only with dragon punchs you need to get a rythym timing when pushing the buttons.

in each country you fight 2 unbalanced, poorly animated douche bags
-
actually the specail moves are quite easy, your just not doing it right you have to do the comand combination then keep your finger on the attack button then do the combinattion again then tap the button you were holding.

The game is awesomely bad. I great if you want a laugh.
This game rocked when it was in the arcades back in 1987!! Only the slickest guys in the arcade could pull off the specials and a lot of people were afraid to play the game because it had so many buttons.
Then in 1991 when they released SF2, we were totally blown away and the guys who ruled SF2 at the arcades when it first came out, were the guys who played SF1 because suddenly, the specials were a breeze to pull off.
Respect to Capcom and SF1!!

And the bonus rounds were way cool too. Back then, we had to put quarters in the machine and the bonus rounds in SF1 and SF2 gave us a little more value to our quarters.
