  • You know I'm sure there are a lot of great DJ's in this World but They have not put forth the tireless effort, or reached the truly important people in the business (The Fans), for over 13 years, the way Armin has. If they had we would all know who they are & They would be The Worlds Best. Armin is the worlds best because He works at it, EVERY DAY! Constuctive criticism is something most Artists appreciate but Bashing just to be nasty is uncalled for & rude!

  • Yes this is the thing between DJ producers like you and really talented DJs like Mat Zo. Have a nice day, Armin Van Pop.

  • oh yea i agree.. he is doing it for the money.. but i also look at it in another way.. you see many of the people on this thread keep on commenting how good this is.. but to tell you the truth i don't think they understand the deepness even in such tracks.. you can't wait for them to just pop into really nice trance tracks right away.. those that are deep and undergroundishh.. armin sorta helps those people understand it better by presenting less confusing tracks.. and it is working with him..

  • @gaj1012 seems like you are not reading. The "evolution" of trance doesn't NECESSARY has to be "cheesy", and that's why I've listed you those producers so you can check them out and realize that new evolutionary trance is something different from what Armin is promoting. Generic dance music is oriented to the "mass" which it's obvious would appreciate something simply instead of a good deep trance track FROM 2009.

It means what he is doing is done for the money mainly, that's it.

  • @TranceElevation continuous, but the "new trance" started moving toward a housy sound after this change.. yes it did, but it never became gay dance music.. oh and i am not talking about the vocalist tracks in the mix.. i am talking about trance lately in general.. therefore old trance and new trance are a good way of differentiating them.. and to tell you the truth.. both, old and new are still called trance.. although diffrent, they are still called trance..

  • @gaj1012 I've listened to him from the very beggining when his alias was: "Rising Star" that's the first under which Armin produced and back than he really was making real trance.

That doesn't mean I am nostalgic of the past. I am simply underlining a negative regression.

  • @TranceElevation i know all of these people.. and i am comparing between old and new trance because old trance is diffrent from new trance and they do have diffrent sounds indeed.. you see what you call trance, i call old trance.. what you think of as pop-housy tunes, i think of it as new trance.. the evolution, or if you dont want to call it an evolution, this... change in the trance sounds made trance much more popular but alot of the purists still wanted to keep the old trance sound..

  • @gaj1012 So, as you see it is not a matter of "time", is not a matter of "old" or "new", but a matter of the "deepness" of the track. And trance music, as a characteristic is deep. "Deep" in terms of emotions. These tracks Armin is promoting are "generic" dance electro-fart tracks which simply do not belong to trance category. Even Armin knows it very well.

  • @gaj1012 What you can't understand is that I do not make a comparison between "old" and "new". An "evolution" doesn't necessary have to be "cheesy". Check out producers as: P.H.A.T.T., Peetu S., Jason Van Wyk, Arc In The Sky, Dust & Heatcliff, White Quasar...and many many more...

These producers I've listed are making "new" trance. Productions of "2009" and "2010" and they are making a real trance music.

  • @TranceElevation oh and enlist wiht that the fact that people are liking new trance more than old for the fact that they can understand it.. old trance is indeed very hard to understand and this kind of music helps those who don't understand old trance to find a way to get to understand it... if you are a purist, the world is changing dude.. oh and you're talking like as if no other genre revolutionized. you obviously forgot where rock started and where it got to.. please.. get out of the closet

  • @TranceElevation wow.. dude yo tlk like you know me.. dude i know so many trance songs and i know old trance by very various ways.. but trance is revolutionizing and many people like you don't like that.. and in fact i don't like most of these trance songs either.. but not to call it "not-trance"... dude please.. i've heard a lot of the classics and know what old trance sounds like and what new trance sounds like.. and the evolution still includes those amazing purists who still make old trance.

  • @gaj1012 I am way way forward than you, who knows 2/3 producers and talks like he knows something.

Is not a matter of "time" since I could list you at least 20 producers who have released in 2009/2010 and they're making real trance music. This one here is generic dance-housey track, which has nothing to do with trance music.

Anyone with a basic knowledge of IDM would tell this ain't trance. So, don't talk like you know something about subject you obviouly know nothing.
