3/02/08 Final moments of Temple Owls - St. Joes (PA) game

Filmed from the stands, The final two plays of another Big 5 classic between the TEMPLE OWLS and St. Joes Hawks. A month earlier, the Owls were dealt a heartbreaking and demoralizing loss by the Hawks which extended their losing streak against them to 5 games. Now a month later, the two bitter city rivals would meet again with 2nd place in the A10 standings, and quite possibly, an NCAA bid on the line. The venue: The Mecca of college basketball, THE PALESTRA, located on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Sold out and packed to the rafters, the Hawks had the decided advantage in crowd support because it was a "HOME" game for them. The Hawks used this to their advantage as they jumped out to a big lead and were comfortably ahead with under 10 minutes remaining in the game. The Owls, down but not defeated, played FEROCIOUS DEFENSE and made it interesting. Ignited by Senior MARK TYNDALE, the Owls started making shots that would not fall earlier in the game, and somehow cut the lead down to 1 point with 40 seconds showing on the clock. Temple Owl fans, outnumbered by at least 3 to 1, are thinking GLORIOUS REVENGE as their team has the ball as the final moments commence..

In the most recent issue of the Princeton Review's 366 Best Colleges, Temple was listed. Saint Joe's was not. SJU=biggest waste of $45,000.

I used to play for Temple back in the day. We always owned St. Joe's.

anybody can get shot at any campus. i guess you forgot what happened in Virginia Tech last year or Northern Illinois a few months ago. those campuses don't look so "crappy" yet has more shootings than on temple's campus.

A-10 BITHCES I WAS THERE STORMING THE COURT!!!!!! I'LL POST A VIDEO PROBLEY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT STARTS!!!!! but i can't help feeling sorry for them collapsing and crying on the court. seriously but....... GO OWLS!!!!!!
