This is with the original engine (600cc flat twin Citroën engine), complete original car.
The exhaus was just a little bit loose.
I made this movie just to show that the 2cv is not as slow as you would expect.
I have driven a porsche 911, an aston martin V8 vantage, a lamborghini gallardo but you never feel the speed in them as you do in a 2cv.

Ala so loco, ¿te crees que estas en una carrera o que?, por otro lado no acelera tan despacio como pensé, a mi me iría de p.madre pues por las carreteras no paso de 80km/h o como mucho 90km/h y por autopista de 100km/h y ciudad de 40km/h y si pusieran a 30 pues a 30.

@Chevinosphere I've had 3 of them in my time, this video is pretty much on the ball. It only has 29 bhp, but because of it's size and weight it doesn't need the time to spool up like heavier cars do. So while say a Corsa* has only wound up 10 of its 65 horses as it kicks off the line, the 2cv's already using all 29hp and gotten an early lead.
*based on the 2010 Opel Corsa 1.0 Ecotec - a car aimed at the same economy market. (So don't go crying about the Corsa 1.6 turbo OPC, I'm not interested.)

Ik denk het wel,
banden harder oppompen, reservewiel eruit,
achterste zetel eruit en een bijna lege benzinetank kunnen nog helpen.
Normaal gezien is de acceleratie van een 2cv ongeveer 40 seconden.
Dat is dan wel in originele staat, met volle benzinetank en twee inzittenden samen goed voor 150kg.
