  • Those are the Buoyancy Pods (made from 3" PVC Pipe), they are used to get the Rov to float, then weight is added to the bottom skids until the Rov is neutral buoyant. You always want to build an Rov so it floats first, it is easier to add weight than it is to add more buoyancy.
