Softmodding a 4.2 Wii Part 1 (The Easiest Way)

This tutorial will show you how to easily hack a Wii with 4.2e/u/j firmware. Just download the required files below and follow this tutorial step by step and you'll be able to play copy/back-up games along with running games from
a USB Hard Disc Drive. This is the easiest method out there and the simplest
to follow.
USE THE README FILE SUPPLIED FOR MORE HELP IF YOUR HAVING TROUBLE FOLLOWING THE VIDEO'S ANNOTATIONS
THIS GUIDE ASSUMES YOU HAVE :-
1- SET YOUR WII UP TO USE YOUR WIFI CONNECTION
2- UPDATED TO THE LATEST 4.2 FIRMWARE UPDATE (Don't update via Nintendo online anymore as new firmware 4.3 will install. Instead download
IOS70-v6687 wad and system menu wad -
E -- v482
U -- v481
J -- v480
and install these manually in that order or you will brick, using The Homebrew Channel and WadManager.

Great tutorial man. Only problem I've found is that some of the newer games (e.g. using usb mics) don't work. Can you tell us what is the best way of getting the Wii up to date? Would you recommend ModMii or is it better to update manually?

@samshthesystem install a cios pack from the net, google it. It contains all the latest ios's 222,223,224,249,250 dv21. Run them through wadmanager and install them all. Simple. As ive said before, this tutorial was once the easiest and best way but if you update to 4.3 (latest firware) you can find tutorials that are even easier and contain all these wads for you.
