Jim Radnich's Knot Rod '49 Plymouth Suburban first run. Big block 460 Ford headers uncorked. 69 block and heads fully ported to cobra jet size ports and gasket matched. Stock cam and 10.5:1 cr. 15 year labor of love found in a field with 1972 license tags. All work except narrowing the rear end was done in his garage: chopped, channeled, sectioned, tilt front end, full cage, engine work, rebuilt C6, raked windshield and hood, interior, lead work and paint. No it's not for sale ;)

  • Hey thanks, sounds like you have one sweet project in the works. Stude, check- big block ford, check- built in your garage, check. I'll check out your FrankenStude- I think my dad got his primary header flanges from Speedway too, good stuff! Keep up the hard work ;)

  • Thanks very much, header flanges were from Jegs, the rest was 1 7/8 j-bends cut and welded up by my Dad. There's a little more to it measuring for equal length and such, but they're all home made except the ceramic coating of course.

  • Thanks, I posted this for my dad, this is his first ground up car. His dad helped start bonneville and was the treasurer way back when so it was cool to have him "in spirit" part of this.

  • Dad, Grandpa would be so proud to see this grow from a flat tired, ugly green, rusted out "vision" to the bitchen ride it is now. Is my truck next?
