  • Where did you get that photo of Pinetop Smith??? everything i've read says that there are no known photos of him. are you sure that's Pinetop?

  • @JPats100 It comes from a famous old photo (1920s?) of several unidentified men in a barrelhouse enjoying some music. You're right, there are no known photos of Pinetop, but if there were, this is what i imagine he might look like.

  • When my great grandmother and her brother were in college, he got a little band together and would take it down town on weekends and she would sneak down on a Saturday night and play the piano. It was the kind of club where you had to peak through a little opening in the door and say "Joe sent me." Had their father found out he would have had both of them quartered and drawn. She loved every minute of it.:))))))
