Why Tim Russert died? Can anybody tell? I don't have a clue but my suggestions are: he knew so much, that he saw all the hopelessness of situation: from one side - a candidate supported by mafia and from the other side - people, who are doing wrong thing to America. And he couldn't take it any more, couldn't see it, couldn't comment on it. Please, tell me if I am wrong. And please, tell me your versions on his death.
Others will teach us how to dare, And against fear our breast to steel; Others will strengthen us to bear-- But who, ah! who, will make us feel? The cloud of mortal destiny, Others will front it fearlessly But who, like him, will put it by?
Keep fresh the grass upon his grave, O Rotha, with thy living wave! Sing him thy best! for few or none Hears thy voice right, now he is gone.
Stanzas from a poem by Matthew Arnold, written after the Poet Laureate, William Wordsworth's death (I liken the feelings I'm feeling today, regarding Tim Russert's death, to these words from his poem called "Memorial Verses") Continued further on:
There will never be another journalist and political analyst quite like Tim Russert. He was literally the best at what he did and got the ordinary person to understand politics. This is a tremendous loss to politics that will never be regained. The only thing that surpassed his love for politics was the love for his family. He deserves to be remembered in the history of United States politics because of what he did. Goodbye Tim and good luck to your son luke.
Tim Russert gave me a better understanding of politics, as confusing as the subject can be. He was simply the best at what he did, and we as a nation suffer a great loss with his passing.
Tim Russert also gave me a great deal of inspiration as a father. His love for his own father, and his own son will serve as examples for decades.
God Bless you Tim Russert. The world is a better place thanks to your being here!
Very moving. Tim was an American institution, who garnered much respect, and taught many about politics and our world. Even though i'm 'an average Joe', I learned much over the years by watching Tim's show. I can't help but shed tears as i'm writing these comments... he was so likeable and 'down to earth'. R.I.P. Tim, and godspeed to your family. You were LOVED and RESPECTED IMMENSELY...

he look same after all these
will be missed
And against fear our breast to steel;

But who, like him, will put it by?
Keep fresh the grass upon his grave,
O Rotha, with thy living wave!
