It is not my fault that you've somehow got a little bit upset about the fact this film is ripping off J-Horror. The original Viy didn't, but this one? @TheVixvis Okay, 'dip shit.' Why don't you try reading what people say properly before you tell them something they probably know more about than you do? I did not suggest that Gogol's novel was anything to do with J-Horror, or that this film was J-Horror either. I just simply said that the imagery of this film is very similar to horror coming out of Japan recently. Never said it wasn't a coincidence. It was just fact. And I doubt Gogol watched any J-Horror, since he died in 1852. Get a clue!

Seems to have some jhorror elements, but then, who's to say that jhorror didn't appropriate from the original 1967 VIY with its pale witch, her long black hair, her tremors, and so on?
