This do-it-yourself vending machine was made of paper, cardstock, recycled materials, packing styrofoam, acrylic paint and a polyurethane finish. It can be used for dispensing small trinkets or candy. It has a coin slot that triggers three marble cascades set up in a series of chain reactions leading to a final trigger that opens a "gate."

I designed it so that it can be used for selling small items and candy at flea markets, carnivals, fundraisers, yard sales--anywhere where you have a table set up. I discovered that it attracts a lot of people to your table or booth, and they want to put quarters into it, just to see how it works. In other words, it turned out to be an easy way to make some cash. I'm currently working on another, more involved vending machine, along with a tutorial that I'll be selling soon.

  • my reaction at the end of the video : what?

  • @mortalkombatrulz At the time I posted it, I thought the same thing: it has kind of a dud ending. I just added an annotation link at the beginning of this video that'll take you to a more complete version of the vending machine.

  • Thanks! It took me about a week and a half to make.
