Prayer for Japanese Earthquake Victims - Shunichi Miyamoto

Christ Covenant Church and Faith Covenant Church joined forces to have a fundraiser for the victims of the Japanese earthquake, and to extend support to Japanese missionaries, Shunichi and Masako Miyamoto, coming to the Great Lakes Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Shunichi offered a prayer up for the Japanese people that they would take this opportunity to look to the God of the Bible for short-term comfort and 'long-term' "eternal life" in Him.

Shunichi's presentation noted how Covenant World Relief had started a special fund to distribute funds through a number of 'partners' that are already working on-the-ground in affected areas.

He also talked about NAJO (North American Japanese Outreach). It is the partnership of metro Detroit churches and churches in Japan for the purpose of introducing our local Japanese friends to Jesus in culturally relevant ways.
