Obama and Chavez have some things in common for sure, but one can't really say that nationalizing GM is the same as the nationalization process that has been taking place in Venezuela. Chavez has nationalized prosperous private companies, whereas GM had become an utter failure.

FACTS: 1. TARP was a George W. Bush plan. Look it up. 2. TARP was necessary. 3. TARP has been 90% paid back. 4. GM was nationalized briefly, and sold through IPO. All government shares eventually planned to be sold.

So we should print money to purchase public businesses? Name me one place where true free market capitalism has failed to bring a higher standard of living to each of it's citizens? Even the poorest US citizens are considered rich in half the countries around the world. Everyone tries to point blame at what causes a recession.
