This creature was modeled after the creepy "Pale Man" monster from the film Pan's Labyrinth. You might not be able to tell from the video, but he carries his eyes around in the palms of his hands. It was pretty tough to get that working within the Creature Creator, since it doesn't let you place eyes directly onto hands.
My name for the creature is taken from a combination of ectypal ("Copied, reproduced as a molding or cast") and palido (the Spanish word for "pale"). It worked out well -- the movie was filmed in Spanish, so the real name of the Pale Man was "Hombre Palido". But it doesn't matter that much... an abomination by any other name will be just as terrifying...
