  • Great Verse at 1:20 mins

  • If Sri Sankara really was as humble as is depicted here, then I truly am impressed. Finally someone who took Sri Krishna's words to heart utterly:

"The humble sage, by virtue of true knowledge, sees with equal vision a learned and gentle brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a dog-eater [outcaste]."

Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verse 18.

  • my fav part of the movie....the Chhandala's true words, Bhaja Govindam and in praise of Sri Adi Shankara........Tat Tvam Asi

  • @sandeep090984 2:35 is called “Bhaja Govindam”

Samprapthe sannihithe kale, Nahi nahi rakshathi dookrunj karane.

"When death strikes, grammar doesn’t save us."

Angam galitham palitham mundam, Dasanaviheenam jatham thundam, Vruddho yathi gruheetha dhandam,Tadapi na munjathyaasa pindam.

“When limbs are weak and hair become grey… Doddering, old and toothless too… The decrepit moves with help of a walking-stick. (Even then) Man never gives up disires.”

  • @sandeep090984 1:112:07 “A verse in praise of Shankara” is called “Thotaka Ashtakam”.

hṛdaye kalaye vimalaṁ caraṇaṁ bhava śaṁkara deśika me śaraṇam (Totakashtakam 1)

The knower of the nectar-ocean of all the śāstra-s, the teacher of the upaniṣadic treasure, I meditate in my heart on your lotus feet; be thou my refuge, O preceptor Śaṁkara. (Totakashtakam 1, Translated by Ramesh Krishnamurthy)

  • what is the name of song at 1:30 ,... its really nice ...

  • This All-time classic has been further adorned by the magical composition and voice of Padma Vibhushan Dr. Balamurlikrishna.

A great movie. I saw this movie as a teenager , and have been extraordinarily moved since.

  • @German1184 : for the sanskrit words....refer "charpatmanjarika strotra" commonly called as 'Bhaja Govindam'
